    Learn about career opportuntities at Professional Association of Georgia Educators Career Opportunities with PAGE COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST The Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE), the state’s largest organization for educators, is seeking candidates for the position of Communications Specialist: Design & Multimedia. This position supports the PAGE mission by producing visual content – design, videography, and more – that informs and celebrates its members while also informing all external and internal stakeholders. The individual in this role serves as lead producer of this content – coordinating, in collaboration with the Director of Communications – all aspects of ideation, creation, project planning and tracking, securing approvals, implementation, and monitoring/reporting post-launch analytics. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In collaboration with the Director of Communications and as part of a team that includes a Communications Specialist: Digital Media and Storytelling, the individual in this role will provide: • Visual Creative Deliverables – through graphic design, videography, and photography • Editorial Services – writing, editing, and proofreading • Digital Services – contributing to social media and the organizations website/CMS • Project Management – creating and maintaining detailed production schedules to ensure timely publication/implementation • Additional services as detailed in the full description available through the Learn More button below and as assigned by the Director of Communications This is a hybrid role: a combination of working with the team onsite at PAGE offices in Atlanta, at offsite meeting locations as well as working remotely from a greater Atlanta-based location. Our in-house legal department consists of six staff attorneys and two legal assistants. This is a full-time position for a self-starting, positive, and confident individual with excellent communications skills who will be responsible for advising and counseling PAGE members who have legal questions or concerns. The position holds the following type of job responsibilities. Answer legal calls, emails and general questions from members Advise and counsel members and conduct legal research Maintain records of legal calls and uploaded documents in legal database Review and edit member documents, responses, grievances, etc. Communication with opposing school board attorneys to address legal issues Make referrals to network attorneys, as needed Assist network attorneys, as needed Gather information for filing lawsuits and claims with insurer and explain coverage Give legal and Code of Ethics presentations as requested by schools or groups statewide Write legal article for PAGE One online magazine Attend PAGE Attorney Workshop Assist in planning and coordinating for PAGE Attorney Workshop Attend PAGE conferences and events, as requested Monitor legislative and state agency activity as it relates to our members and public education Attend CLE seminars, as assigned, and maintain required annual hours The beginning salary is competitive with an attractive health and retirement benefits package.   • PAGE Foundation Scholarships

    PAGE Foundation Scholarships are awarded to eligible PAGE members who aspire to become teachers or to veteran teachers seeking to advance their academic careers. Applicants are scored on the basis of academic achievement and recommendations, as well as written essays. Each scholarship is a one-time cash award of $1,000 payable to the recipient’s college or university. PAGE Foundation Scholarships PAGE Foundation Scholarships are awarded to eligible PAGE members who aspire to become teachers or to veteran teachers seeking to advance their academic careers. Applicants are scored on the basis of academic achievement and recommendations, as well as written essays. Each scholarship is a one-time cash award of $500, $1,000, or $1500 payable to the recipient’s college or university. The 2026 winners will be announced by mid-July. and to download an application. Scholarships are awarded to PAGE members who are veteran educators, paraprofessionals and college students. About the Scholarships The PAGE Foundation has assisted with the cost of higher education since 1986.     The Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program honors Georgia’s highest-achieving high school seniors and the teachers most instrumental in their academic development. Since its creation in 1958 by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the STAR program has honored more than 29,000 students. In the mid-1990s, the PAGE Foundation was asked to assume responsibility for the oversight, administration and promotion of the statewide STAR program. Every accredited high school in Georgia is eligible to participate in this preeminent student/teacher academic recognition. Students from every accredited high school in Georgia are eligible to participate in this preeminent student/teacher academic recognition. To be nominated as a STAR, Georgia high school students meet several criteria, including having the highest SAT score at their schools on any single test date through November of their senior year and being in the top 10 percent or top 10 students of their class based on grade point average. High school STAR Students are asked to name their STAR Teachers, who continue with their STAR Students at every level of the program. The educator the students chooses may be any Pre-K through 12 classroom teacher in good standing in an accredited Georgia school system or private school.
