PAGE President Dr. Brecca Pope

Dr. Brecca Pope is a dedicated educator and leader with over two decades of service in public education. A proud graduate of Thomas County Central High School, Pope holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Valdosta State University, and an Education Specialist and Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

Pope began her career in education in Birmingham, Alabama, working as a Speech-Language Pathologist for Jefferson County Schools. In 1999, she returned to her hometown of Thomasville, Georgia, where she joined Thomas County Schools as an SLP at Cross Creek Elementary, serving students in third through fifth grades.

​

Her transition into educational leadership began in 2006 when she was named Assistant Principal at Hand-In-Hand Primary School. In 2011, she returned to Cross Creek Elementary as Assistant Principal, a role she held for more than seven years. Her leadership and commitment to student success led to her appointment as Director of Administrative Services in 2017. In 2021, she was promoted to her current role as Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services, where she oversees key district operations and supports school administrators across the district.

 

Throughout her career, Pope has remained passionate about fostering strong school communities and ensuring that students and educators have the support they need to thrive.

“I have a heart for service, whether in the realm of special education or in a leadership capacity,” says Pope. “My greatest professional satisfaction comes from moments when I can help others accomplish goals and aspirations. I view my role on the PAGE Board of Directors in the same light. It is a great honor to be able to serve as Board President and stand alongside the visionaries and dedicated leadership within the PAGE organization.”
