Scholarships Offered PAGE Foundation Scholarships Scholarships Offered PAGE Foundation Scholarships PAGE Foundation scholarships are a one-time award payable to the winner’s college or university. Please see individual scholarships for award amounts. All applicants must meet the following requirements (and any additional requirements for each individual scholarship listed below): be a current PAGE member. have a 3.0 GPA or higher. agree to teach in Georgia for three years. submit two recommendations. submit most recent cumulative transcript. meet any additional criteria for specific scholarships as applicable. Note: Applicant’s college/university may be in Georgia, outside Georgia or an accredited online program. Professional Scholarships – for certified educators PAGE Professional Scholarship – $1500 Must be pursuing a graduate degree in education or content area, working to add a new certification area or endorsement, or taking required coursework to be highly qualified. (Scholarships are not available for those renewing an existing certificate.) PAGE Charles “Coach” Cooper Scholarship – $1000 Must be pursuing an advanced degree in science education. PAGE DeKalb Scholarship* – $1000 Must be employed by the DeKalb County School System and planning to remain for the following school year. PAGE Jack Christmas Scholarship – $1000 Must be pursuing an advanced degree in elementary education or reading. PAGE H. M. & Norma Fulbright Scholarship – $1500 Must be serving as an advisor of a current, state-affiliated FGE chapter, as a PAGE Academic Bowl team coach, or as a PAGE Georgia Academic Decathlon team coach. Support Personnel Scholarship – for classified school employees PAGE Dr. Allene Magill Scholarship – $1500 Must be employed as a paraprofessional within a Georgia school system and pursuing initial certification. PAGE Support Personnel Scholarship – $1500 Must be employed as support personnel within a Georgia school system and pursuing initial certification. Teacher Candidate Scholarships – for education majors not yet certified or employed by a school or system PAGE Undergraduate Scholarship – $1500 and PAGE S. Marvin Griffin Scholarship – $1000 Must be a rising college junior or senior and majoring in education. PAGE DeKalb Scholarship* – $1000 Must be a rising college junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in education, and a graduate of a high school in the DeKalb County School System. PAGE John Robert & Barbara Moore Lindsey Scholarship – $1000 Must be a rising college junior or senior, enrolled in or committed to enrolling in the education program at Georgia Southern University. PAGE Betty J. Phillips Scholarship – $1000 Must be a rising college junior, senior, or graduate student, enrolled or committed to enrolling in the education program of a Macon, Georgia, college or university. *Contingent upon availability of funds. The 2026 PAGE Foundation Scholarship applications will be available below just prior to Christmas 2025. All of the above scholarships utilize the same application. The application will be available for download just before Christmas. Our members do not wish for undue publicity that can further damage their case or their reputations. We believe that this is the best way to resolve sensitive legal matters, therefore you rarely read or hear about PAGE members’ legal problems in the media. But we are there supporting our members. Professional Liability Coverage Our policies cover you for activities performed in your professio nal capacity, i.e., those duties required of you as an employee of your school or school district. * There is NO coverage for activities performed outside your professional capacity, such as activities performed on a volunteer basis or those conducted in a private business or private professional endeavor. Important Note for Bus Drivers: PAGE does not represent bus drivers in traffic court. In cases involving the operation of a motor vehicle, bus drivers are covered by the school system’s fleet insurance policy. For professional liability policies, the standard insurance industry policy exclusions include operation of a motor vehicle. This exclusion is referenced in the PAGE policy and all other association policies. PAGE will, however, provide certain supplemental legal services to bu s drivers in cases involving operation of a motor vehicle. For example, in accident cases resulting in death or serious injury, PAGE can assign an attorney to monitor the insurance and/or legal proceedings to provide ongoing oversight and communication to the member. Student Members: Student membership is only valid for student teaching and related field experiences. Student membership does not include coverage for any paid positions. Students must upgrade membership to professional or support in order to have any coverage while employed. $1,000,000 of professional liability coverage when you are sued by a parent or student in relation to the performance of your duties on school grounds or off school grounds, while engaged in student teaching and related field experiences, subject to the exclusions noted in the policy. Up to $10,000 in criminal defense coverage, win or lose, when you are charged with a crime related to your duties.* $5,000 bail bond reimbursement. $10,000 in Accidental Death insurance coverage. $2,500 for Assault Related Personal Property Damage Retired Life, Retired and Friends of PAGE: None of the above stated coverage applies to these membership categories. These policy descriptions in no way alter or modify the master policies on file with the Association. The policies govern actual coverage of claims available to PAGE members. Copies of the actual policies are available at the PAGE office. Coverage is limited to activities performed in a professional capacity and is subject to industry-standard exclusions.

< TO GEORGIA ACADEMIC DECATHLON HOME Georgia Academic Decathlon GAD Volunteer Information Volunteer for the 40th Annual GAD State Competition! February 27-28, 2026 Kennesaw State University Two hundred volunteers are needed to serve as proctors for Testing and Super Quiz, and as judges for Speech and Interview. Testing proctors monitor students during the event on Friday evening. Judges serve in groups of two or three for Speech and Interview presentations on Saturday morning. Super Quiz proctors monitor students during the course of the collaborative Super Quiz on Saturday afternoon. Training sessions are conducted on site prior to the competition. All events are located at Kennesaw State University. Maps to the competition site will be provided to all judges and proctors who sign up. Additional information about the events can be found by clicking the button for each event below. TESTING INFORMATION INTERVIEW INFORMATION SPEECH INFORMATION SUPER QUIZ INFORMATION Schedule Friday, Feb 27, 2026 - Testing Testing Proctor Description - Testing Proctors monitor decathletes during the course of the testing event on Friday afternoon/evening. 2 - 9 p.m. Testing Proctor training and testing event. Dinner will be provided. Saturday morning, Feb 28, 2026 - Speech and Interview Judge & Timer Descriptions Interview judges should have strong interpersonal skills and relate well to high school students. A background or interest in interviewing would also be a desirable skill for this volunteer position. Speech judges should have good listening skills, be able to effectively assess communication, and relate well to high school students. Speech timers work in conjunction with the Speech Judges to time and record competitors’ speeches. 7:45 a.m. – 1 p.m. Speech and Interview judges and Timers training and Speech and Interview events ( concurrent ) Saturday afternoon, Feb 28, 2025 - Super Quiz Super Quiz Proctor Description - Super Quiz proctors monitor decathletes during the course of the Super Quiz event. 1:15 - 3:30 p.m. Super Quiz proctor training, and Super Quiz event.
