Volunteer for the 38th Annual GAD State Competition!
February 23-24, 2024

Two hundred volunteers are needed to serve as proctors for Super Quiz and judges for Speech and Interview. Super Quiz proctors monitor students during the course of the collaborative Super Quiz on Friday evening. Judges serve in groups of two or three for Speech and Interview presentations on Saturday morning.
Training sessions are conducted on site prior to the competition. All events are located at Kennesaw State University. Maps to the competition site will be provided to all judges and proctors who sign up. Additional information about the events can be found by clicking the button for each event below.

Friday, Feb. 23, 2024Â | |
5-9 p.m. | Super Quiz proctor meal, training, and Super Quiz event |
Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024 | Judges Descriptions Interview judges should have strong interpersonal skills and relate well to high school students. A background or interest in interviewing would also be a desirable skill for this volunteer position.  Speech judges should have good listening skills, be able to effectively assess communication, and relate well to high school students.  Speech timers work in conjunction with the Speech Judges to time and record competitors’ speeches. |
8 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Speech and Interview judges and Timers training and Speech and Interview events (concurrent) |
