GAD Volunteer Information

Volunteer for the Thirty-seventh Annual GAD State Competition!

February 24-25, 2023
Kennesaw State University

Two hundred volunteers are needed to serve as proctors for Super Quiz and judges for Speech and Interview. Super Quiz proctors monitor students during the course of the collaborative Super Quiz on Friday evening. Judges serve in groups of two or three for Speech and Interview presentations on Saturday morning.

Training sessions are conducted on site prior to the competition. All events are located at Kennesaw State University. A map to the competition site will be added here soon and will be provided to all judges and proctors who sign up. Additional information about the events can be found by clicking the button for each event below.


Schedule

Friday, February 24, 2023 – all Friday slots have been filled
4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Super Quiz proctor training and Super Quiz event
Saturday, February 25, 2023 – all Saturday slots have been filled Judges Descriptions:

Interview judges should have strong interpersonal skills and relate well to high school students. A background or interest in interviewing would also be a desirable skill for this volunteer position.

Speech judges and timers should have good listening skills, be able to effectively assess communication, and relate well to high school students.

8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Speech and Interview judges and Timers training and Speech and Interview events (concurrent)
NOTE: HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS CANNOT BE JUDGES AND/OR PROCTORS
