Winners of the FGE Days competitions are cordially invited to compete at State Competition at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Clark Atlanta University and attend a Celebration Breakfast at 9:30 the following morning at the PAGE office in Atlanta.

Who is eligible to compete?

Anyone who placed first, second or third in Essay, Why Teach, T-shirt Design, or Knowledge Bowl during the 2017-2018 FGE Days.

How will this work?

Essay and T-Shirt- complete the online form to enter, and the original essay or t-shirt design that you submitted for FGE Day competition will be included in the judging. (All essays and t-shirt designs have been saved by our office; you do not need to re-submit.)

Why Teach - complete the online form to enter, then bring your award-winning display board or video with you on March 14 to be judged on-site.

Knowledge Bowl - complete the online form to enter, and come to Georgia Gwinnett on March 14 to compete! Teams members should be the same individuals who competed at FGE Day. Exceptions to this may be considered under extenuating circumstances. Contact Mary Ruth Ray if you need an exception made to this rule.

Who is invited?

Students who are competing in the above-named competitions and also students who have been selected to serve as Ambassadors and share FGE Moments at an FGE Day this school year.

What about other FGE chapter members?

They are welcome to attend and watch their fellow FGE members compete. However, if you plan to attend the Celebration Breakfast, we kindly ask that you consider limiting the number of people you bring, due to cost restraints. We are not placing a number limit, but simply ask that common sense rule here. If you have questions, please contact Mary Ruth Ray.

How much does it cost to compete at State and attend the breakfast?

Nothing! Both events are complimentary.

Can we attend FGE Day at Georgia Gwinnett?

Absolutely! The usual registration costs will apply ($8/person for FGE chapters; $10/person for all others).

Dress Code

The dress code is the same as it is for FGE Day, casual. T-shirts are discouraged, unless your group is wearing matching t-shirts. Jeans are acceptable, and please follow your school's dress code. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Please note the weather expected for the day and be prepared for walking outdoors from the parking location to competition building.
