Future Georgia Educators (FGE):
PAGE and the members of Future Georgia Educators (FGE) cordially invite all Education Pathway (ECE and TAP) classes to attend one of our “FGE Days” to be hosted at various colleges across the state. The colleges of education at these institutions have teamed up with PAGE to plan an exciting day of professional learning, networking, and college visitation for students who may be considering a career in education.
PAGE Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR):
The Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program honors Georgia’s highest-achieving high school seniors and the teachers most instrumental in their academic development. Since its creation in 1958 by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the STAR program has honored more than 29,000 students. In the mid-1990s, the PAGE Foundation was asked to assume responsibility for the oversight, administration and promotion of the statewide STAR program. Every accredited high school in Georgia is eligible to participate in this preeminent student/teacher academic recognition.
PAGE Academic Bowl for Middle Grades
PAGE Academic Bowl for Middle Grades develops thinking skills and builds confidence through team competition. The middle-school program promotes academic excellence and good citizenship in the following ways:
» Creates good work/study habits;
» Broadens factual knowledge;
» Develops poise and confidence in students presenting to the public;
» Develops teamwork and good citizenship;
» Instills an appreciation for the pursuit of knowledge.
PAGE Georgia Academic Decathlon
The PAGE Georgia Academic Decathlon (GAD) enables high-school students of all academic levels to compete (individually and in teams) based on an intense curriculum. Participants develop interview and public speaking skills, strengthen study habits and gain an appreciation for intellectual pursuits.
