2021 STATE PAGE STAR STUDENT AND TEACHER
Riley Durbin, a senior at South Forsyth High School, is the 2021 State PAGE STAR Student. He named Mr. Stuart Reynolds, his 10th-grade Honors Literature teacher at South Forsyth High School, as his State PAGE STAR Teacher.
Justin Shin, a senior at Bremen High School, is the Runner-up State PAGE STAR Student. He chose Mr. Justin Fields, his AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics and AP Psychology teacher at Bremen High School, as his STAR Teacher.
The announcement came at the 2021 Virtual State PAGE (Professional Association of Georgia Educators) STAR Awards, on Monday, May 17, 2021. Nineteen PAGE STAR Student Region Winners were finalists in the culminating event of the annual STAR (Student Teacher Achievement Recognition) program for high school seniors.
The search for the State PAGE STAR Student began earlier this school year with the naming of 551 local STAR Students from each of the participating public and independent high schools across the state. In turn, those STAR students then recognized the teacher who had the most influence on their academic success as their STAR Teacher.
