Two Region competitions are happening in this location. Each region will send two teams to the State Championship at Georgia College on January 24, 2026 . DIRECTIONS: From I-75 S: Take the Russell Pkwy exit. turn left on Russell Pkwy. At the 4th light, turn Right onto Lake Joy Rd. At the next light, turn Left on Feagin Mill. The school is about 1 mile down on the right. Enter at the 3rd entrance - the bus and cafeteria side. MATERIALS: Please bring your buzzer systems and stopwatches. If you are unable to do so, please notify me prior to the competition. There will not be a lunch break. At the conclusion of the round robin play, the top two teams from each division will meet in a crossover to determine which two teams will advance to the State Championship at Georgia College on January 24, 2026 The competition will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. Teams arriving after 9:30 a.m. will forfeit the rounds they miss, unless the regional coordinator grants special permission (extenuating circumstances). The PAGE Academic Bowl for Middle Grades needs volunteers at our Regional and State Championship Competitions. < RETURN TO ACADEMIC BOWL PAGE Academic Bowl for Middle Grades Volunteer Form Volunteer Training Video Created specifically for the PAGE Academic Bowl for Middle Grades volunteers, this training video should teach you the ins and outs of what to do about the situations that can (and do) arise during a competition. This video will also be helpful for new coaches, parents and students who want to hone their knowledge of the PAGE Academic Bowl rules. (The most current rules can be found in the Volunteer Manual.) The video is approximately 26 minutes in length. Click here to download the Volunteer Manual. (Worksheets were added in the 2024-25 school year.) The PAGE Academic Bowl for Middle Grades needs volunteers to serve as readers, judges and time keepers at our Regional and State Championship Competitions. The competition is formatted like a quiz bowl, with five team members on each team using a buzzer system to respond to questions. ( – Some of the rules and information have changed since this was filmed in 2010. The Volunteer Manual contains the most up-to-date information.) Volunteering is fun! Find all the dates for PAGE Academic Bowl for Middle Grades < RETURN TO ACADEMIC BOWL PAGE Academic Bowl for Middle Grades Academic Bowl Dates and Registration Registration is now Closed. September 8 – November 19, 2025 – Registration open: Information emailed/mailed to all middle schools and posted to the website. Confirmations emailed to coaches who have registered. If you do not receive an email confirmation, you are not registered. Deadline extended through Wednesday, Nov 19! NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER THE DEADLINE. December 6, 2025 – Regional competitions: 10-12 various locations around the state (if you are interested in hosting, send us a message!) January 24, 2026 – State Championship: for top 24 teams advancing from Regionals Registration Process - $65 per school (You are limited to one 10-member team per school.) NOTE: School districts are no longer required to have a local playoff to determine their qualifying schools. We have removed the limit of 6 teams per district. Any school who wishes to participate may register. Please Complete Steps 1 - 3 to register your team. Complete the registration form (Register Now! button below). You will have the option to pay with a credit card or mail a check. After submitting your form you will see a confirmation page, click on the “Download Confirmation” button. This is your invoice. If you did not pay with a credit card, please return the Invoice page with your payment to the address in the middle of the form. Buses can pull in under the overhang to drop students off before parking. Registration will take place in the atrium and the team meeting will take place in the auditorium. SCHEDULE: Registration: 8:15 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. in front atrium Orientation: 9:00 a.m. Competition is a round robin and will begin as soon as Orientation ends. We'll have snacks between games and possible cotton candy at lunch, so bring spare dollars. There will not be time to leave the site for lunch. You will place your lunch order during check-in. The competition will begin as soon as Orientation is concluded. < Back to GAD Home Georgia Academic Decathlon GAD Fall Workshop The Fall Workshop is held annually at Kennesaw State University’s KSU Center (not on main campus). This year the workshop will be on Friday, September 13. The agenda will offer sessions on many of this year’s events related to the overall theme: Our Changing Climate. You can view a tentative agenda below. There is a fee of $20 for each decathlete while Coaches, Coordinators and other adults may attend free of charge (remember to register your bus driver and any chaperones if they need a lunch). Lunch will be provided by Chick-fil-A. If anyone in your group needs something other than the regular Chick-fil-A sandwich lunch, be sure to make a dietary restriction note during the registration process. Each attendee (students and adults) must return a signed release form (links below). For quick check-in, send release forms to Michelle at gad@pageinc.org in advance. If necessary, you may bring them with you, but it greatly slows down check-in.
