2023-24 Season Info

This year’s curriculum is Technology and Humanity. We are planning for a hybrid State Competition with Essay and the Subject Area Test events online while Super Quiz, Speech and Interview will be in person.

NEW ESSAY RUBRIC! USAD has developed a new Essay rubric to assist our judges in their job of scoring our decathlete’s essays. Additionally, if you would like to participate in Essay during Round 2 but don’t have your own judges, USAD can score them for $5 per essay. If you are interested, please contact the State Director ASAP.

2023 USAD Nationals Results are in!

Georgia’s state champ, Elite Scholars Academy, finished 6th in their division and brought home eight National medals. The medalists are:

Varsity
Angelica Jones: BRONZE – Art; GOLD – Music
Kayla Sheriffe: SILVER – Music; SILVER – Interview

Honor
Reyli Olivo: BRONZE – Essay
Delaney Reese: BRONZE – Interview; BRONZE – Music; GOLD – Art

Georgia’s Division IV rep, Columbus High School, also earned  2 National medals.

Scholastic
Adrainne Moore: SILVER – Interview

Honor
Charlotte Young: SILVER – Speech

Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School Varsity students Gabby Bankston and Grayson White each earned a BRONZE medal for Mathematics in the Medium School Online competition.
Armuchee High School Varsity student Kaili Wheeler earned a SILVER medal for Essay, and Scholastic student Tate Burnham earned a BRONZE medal for Literature in the Small School Online competition.

Congratulations to Elite Scholars Academy – The 2023 PAGE Georgia Academic Decathlon State Champion!

Clayton County’s Elite Scholars Academy, coached by Jack Smith, is the 2023 PAGE Georgia Academic Decathlon (GAD) State Champion. The team scored the highest number of points overall in Division I and II and earned the Howard Stroud Championship Trophy. It is the third time the school has captured the title. The team is invited to represent Georgia at the United States Academic Decathlon® national competition in Frisco Texas this April. Read More . . .
