Before you register …
Know whether your group is an affiliated FGE chapter or not. (Being an affiliated FGE chapter is not required; it simply determines how much you pay.)
Have a list of who is definitely attending. Remember that we are unable to cancel a ticket once you have registered. Better to add folks later–but do it by the registration deadline!
Include everyone on your list: students, adults, bus driver (if he/she plans to eat with us), etc.
If possible, determine whether you will be able to stay for the entire event. Should you need to leave early to get your bus back, we understand! But knowing this in advance will help us plan better and prevent our presenters from staring at an empty room!
Determine if your group will participate in the optional campus tour at the end of the day, if offered (start time approximately 2:15; duration approximately 30 minutes).
Have access to a printer or the ability to save a pdf so that you can print/save your invoice.
If you are paying by credit card, have that info ready. Or you can mail a check.
Our online registration system occasionally experiences technical difficulties with registering larger numbers. Our website support team recommends registering around five people at a time. Here’s how.
- Begin a new registration as usual. Add around five people or so. Check out as normal.
- Immediately check your email. You should have received a confirmation email from “firstname.lastname@example.org.” Within that email is a link to use to go back and add people to your registration. USE THIS LINK!!! DO NOT BEGIN A NEW REGISTRATION!! Add a few more and check out again. If you are an affiliated FGE chapter, remember to apply your promo code each time you check out.
- Each time you check out, the system adds people to your original invoice, so at the end of the process you will have one invoice listing everyone in your group.
If you register a larger group at one time not using the method described above, everything seems to go fine, but when you get to the very last stage of check out, the system will not let you confirm. Very frustrating. So, we strongly recommend registering a few at the time.
