State Competition Guidelines

Knowledge Bowl  Guidelines

  • Eligibility: Knowledge Bowl is the only competition that does not require FGE affiliation. Any team that has placed first, second or third in an FGE Knowledge Bowl Competition during the current school year is eligible to compete at state.  Any team that places first, second or third at FGE Day at GCSU on March 9 is also eligible to compete that afternoon in the state competition.


The following competitions are for affiliated FGE chapters only:

Eligibility: Any student who is a member of a state-affiliated FGE chapter and:

  • has attended an FGE Day during the current school year; or will attend FGE Day at Mercer University on March 14 and has registered for that event by March 1


Limit one entry per chapter per competition.


FGE Moment

  • One FGE Moment that has been presented at an FGE Day will be selected to be presented at state competition.

Note: There is no additional registration necessary, other than entering the competitions. However, all attendees (student and adult) need to bring a signed photo release form.
