GAD 2023 State Coaches Agreement

High schools participating in the Georgia Academic Decathlon must be certified by the Georgia High School Association. Study strategies that are emplyed must meet the guidelines established by the Georgia High School Association regarding participation in competitive events. This means that students doing research for Academic Decathlon can do that research during the school day. Team members can also meet before school, after school or during the lunch period to prepare for Academic Decathlon. However, team members cannot meet with the team coach(es) during the school day. We have read, honored and followed the above statement with reference to preparing our team members for state competition of the PAGE Georgia Academic Decathlon.

I have listened to the prepared speech of each GAD team member and verify that it is an original work and the content and topic of each speech is appropriate for the speech competition according to the rules outlined in the GAD Coaches' Manual. I further consent to the release of information about, or relative to, my participation in the PAGE Georgia Academic Decathlon, including photographs, sound and video recordings and any other associated data. PAGE and the PAGE Foundation shall have full rights to reproduction and use of all such materials.
