PAGE Academic Bowl for Middle Grades

2021-2022 PAGE Academic Bowl – Registration Now Open!

For the 2021-2022 Season of PAGE Academic Bowl, we *hope* to offer a face-to-face season, but are working on a “Plan B” as well. It’s possible that some regions may participate virtually and others may participate in person. As we all know, things can change quickly. We will email the Head Coach of registered teams if there is any new information.

Registration is open through November 22. Any team wishing to participate may register themselves for regionals. There is no longer a cap on the number of teams per district.
Regional competition is scheduled for December 11. Not all region locations have been decided. Region assignments will be made closer to Thanksgiving.
A minimum of 2 teams per region will advance to the January 22 State Competition. State is scheduled to once again happen at Georgia College in Milledgeville.

Please visit the Dates and Registration page for more info and to register your team. Direct any questions to the State Coordinator, Michelle Crawford at academicbowl@pageinc.org.

Congratulations to 2021 State Champ Howard Middle School

Atlanta Public Schools’ David T Howard Middle School won top honors at this year’s PAGE Academic Bowl for Middle Grades Virtual State Championship. The team captured the title during the final rounds of competition held virtually at Qblitz.online on January 23, 2021.

Eight teams emerged as finalists and competed against each other in the afternoon single-elimination competition session. The additional 16 teams competed for final placement in the field of 24. The state championship team members are Charles Heydt, Farris Duwayri, Lily Rachwalski, and Rohan Reddy. Additional team members who participated in the Regional competition are Casey Yi-Vigoda, Daniel Hyken, Eleanor Heydt, Ethan Waldman, and Shivi Gupta. Jessica Hughes and Abbi Hurt coach the team.

Inclement Weather Policy

Competition will be postponed if bad weather forces the cancellation of classes at the host location or if a majority of participating schools have classes cancelled the day before the event. Competition will be rescheduled for the following weekend unless there are extenuating circumstances. Every effort will be made to notify all participating head coaches via email if postponement is necessary, and in all instances notification will be posted on this page of the website.
