DIRECTIONS: Use GPS or Google Maps. Buses will want to enter from the Highway 22 (Comer Road) entrance and cars will want to enter from Buddy Faust Road.
NO LUNCH BREAK WILL BE SCHEDULED. HOWEVER A CONCESSION STAND WILL BE OPEN FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE.
The competition will start promptly at 9 AM. Teams arriving late will forfeit the rounds they miss. Please call or text if you have questions, need directions or will be late: 706-255-9044.
The regional coordinator reserves the right to limit the number of spectators per room as necessary. Please inform your participants that children younger than 4th grade will not be allowed in the rooms. All spectators need to disarm cell phones and beepers upon entering the competition rooms. No food or drinks will be permitted in the competition area. Please give team members a copy of the Spectator’s Guide to take home (found on page 3 of the PAGE Academic Bowl manual).
YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR BUZZER SYSTEM AND A STOP WATCH TO THE COMPETITION. TEAM NAME TAGS WILL BE AVAILABLE UPON ARRIVING IN YOUR INFORMATION PACKET (if you sent in your roster by the deadline).
Please plan to bring one adult or high school student who would be able to help time the rounds if needed.
We are very excited about hosting this year’s regional PAGE Academic Bowl for Middle Grades competition at OCMS! There will be volunteers to answer any questions, signs and banners to point your team in the right direction, and lots of great food to provide brain power for your team. We look forward to having you at our school.
