The Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE), the state’s largest organization for educators, is seeking candidates for the position of Consultant/Recruiter for PAGE District 10.  The District 10 recruitment territory includes Burke, Clarke, Columbia, Elbert, Glascock, Greene, Hancock, Jefferson, Lincoln, McDuffie, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren, Washington and Wilkes county school systems; so it is important that the candidate live within one of these counties.
This temporary consultant’s position is intended for an organized, self-starting, positive and confident individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  The temporary consultant is responsible to recruit, retain and provide maximum service and visibility to PAGE members and potential members.  The individual assigned this responsibility must be highly attuned to the need for constant cultivation of PAGE District 10 and be ready, willing and able to travel throughout District 10 to accomplish these goals. Teaching background is preferred and sales/marketing experience is a plus. The start date for this position is immediate. 
In the performance of their duties, PAGE Consultants are expected to plan and attend fall new teacher orientations, recruit new membership, speak at faculty meetings, provide visibility for PAGE in the schools, develop and foster professional relationships with school system superintendents, central office personnel, administrators and teachers; maintain effective and consistent communications with building contacts keeping them informed of PAGE initiatives and legislative issues; and respond to and/or refer phone calls and emails from PAGE members with questions and concerns.
This consultant’s position is available immediately and does not include employee benefits. After a 3-6 month trial period with proven success, the consultant may be considered for a full-time position with PAGE as a Member Services Representative.  The temporary consultant’s pay is $150/day plus mileage and expenses.  If hired full-time as a PAGE member services representative, the beginning salary is competitive with an attractive health and retirement benefits package, monthly mileage reimbursement and an automobile allowance.
