Georgia Master Teachers Leadership Institute
Purpose
The Georgia Master Teacher Leadership Institute is designed to promote, advance and build upon the skills of teacher leaders throughout Georgia. This leadership institute is an investment in the over 500 Georgia Master Teacher recipients and will provide these teachers with opportunities to learn how they can lead and become influential advocates for quality education in their respective schools. Program Format
The Georgia Master Teacher Leadership Institute provides one-day, high quality professional learning sessions focusing on significant and relevant topics that build upon the leadership skills of Georgia Master Teachers. Each session is offered in regional locations on subsequent days and presented by the same national expert.
This institute is free for all Georgia Master Teachers and includes breakfast, lunch and professional materials for use in the classroom. Local school systems must provide release time for their Georgia Master Teacher to attend.
Goal
Provide teachers with a practical and thought provoking look at what constitutes mastery and successful assessment in the differentiated classroom.
RSVP
Georgia Master Teachers will receive notification of this valuable institute and must RSVP to be included in the scheduled training. Because financial commitments must be made to presenters, to host institutions regarding space and food, and to order adequate materials, Master Teachers must RSVP via on-line registration. To register please visit www.georgiamasterteachers.org. Space is limited to 50 participants at each location. Registration opens September 1, 2010.
